SHARE is one of several collaborative bicycle safety interventions led by Rick Valicenti–recipient of the 2011 National Design Award– and Moving Design's team of volunteer architects, designers, urban planning strategists, and developers. The animation uses sound and typography to address the need for increased awareness surrounding bicycle safety laws and mobility education for commuters. The opening stills recreate the sense of tension felt while commuting on traffic heavy streets. Agitated typography and sounds of a discordant commute amplify the strain and congestion until the final scene. Closing stills reveal a call to action; and urge both cyclists and motorists take responsibility for creating safer roadways.
